CAPA Beer Walk 2024 – Joliet, IL

The Annual CAPA Beer Walk will be Saturday, October 5th from 1-6pm. As you probably know, THIS DAY IS A BLAST! Before you finish, make sure you scroll down to the FAQ section. No question is a bad question.

Enjoy a day of lost memories(so take lots of pics) in the famous Joliet Cathedral Neighborhood. Five homeowners are freeing up their backyards for you to hang out with friends and sample beers from local breweries along with food offerings at each location. All backyards will be EAST of Raynor, primarily on Western Ave. You will be in one of FIVE groups of beer fans and you will spend about 50 minutes per location and then move on to the next until you are full, happy, and without regret. Each homeowner will have a different take on the day and put their own unique touch on the experience. You will find games, music, firepits, photo ops, and more. Tickets are limited and sell out quickly so we advise you to act fast if you would like to enjoy this day. Again this year, there will be a house that has the “Guess the macro beer” challenge. We won’t make it too hard, but not easy either.

Details will follow in the coming weeks such as where each group will start(every group starts at a different home). If you are advising friends to join you please TELL them what group you are buying in so they can do the same group. There is no “better” choice, just pick a group and go. IF you are buying tickets for friends, you will be getting the eventbrite updates(like the addresses) sent to you to disseminate. More details may be found in the FAQs below.

Everyone likes different styles of beer. We will offer have several styles BUT this is a day that your should suspend your reservations until you give everything a fair shake. You never know…Maybe you will like what you believed otherwise.

CAPA is a charity and it stands for Cathedral Area Preservation Association. We do events for local residents both paid and free and donate proceeds to causes that benefit our community at large. This includes scholarships, book donations, senior services donations, Holiday gift buying, tree planting, etc.
