An early, 80s & vintage sounds dance party with for Gen X – presented by Matinee Social Club @ Joyface NYC.

Gen X has been blowing up our comments saying they need their own party, so we’re doing it. The “Lost Generation” is a new 80s-centric dance concept by Matinee Social Club, focused on celebrating the sounds of Gen X.

Come enjoy an early evening dance party from 6-10pm on Friday.

The Music

Mostly 80s with adjacent hits from just before and after as well. Songs that defined Gen X.

Dress Code

Usually we encourage disco chic, but for this party, it’s 80’s chic if anything. If you’re not one for dressing up, no worries. Just no athletic wear or anything too casual.

What to expect?

A night of 80s & vintage pop amongst a beautiful crowd of 40 somethings. The music will escalate by 7:00pm, pizza will be served at ~8pm and is included with your ticket.

What is Matinee Social Club?

Love to party, but also love a good night’s rest? (Looking at you millennials )

With Matinée, you can have both.

It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7:30pm to give you a second wind.

The Matinée Mission

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
