Beargarden Presents: Madam Coconut Tree Party

Los Angeles, it’s time to party with purpose! Join us at Beargarden as we celebrate, elevate, and get activated under the shade of the “Coconut Tree” —inspired by our favorite meme queen, Madam Vice President Kamala Harris!

Why? Because, as Kamala says, “Our unity is our strength, and our diversity is our power.”

What’s Happening:

Get Registered, Get Ready:
Are you registered to vote? If not, now’s the time to fix that. We’ll have voter registration stations, so you can make sure your voice is heard—because if you don’t vote, you’re missing out on the most important party of all: democracy.

Meet Your Community:
Local organizations like The United Democratic Headquarters of Pasadena and Grow Proud HIV Services will be on hand to help you get involved and discover support.

Support LGBTQ+ and Diverse Businesses:
Our queer market will be filled with vendors like 9 to 5 Gay Pins, Caroline’s and Dots, Harry Gawdmother, Huck and Puck Books, Kandi Kreep, and Perhaps Japanese—all putting the “fabulous” in “shop local.”

Live Performances:
Our community is vibrant, and so is the stage show. Bring those singles for live drag performances by Nikki Licious and music by DJ Popperbear and Nick Roy.

And yes, we know not everyone is head over heels for Kamala. But with the stakes as high as they are, we need to come together and push forward—because we can’t afford to let the progress we’ve made be pulled back by those who would take us backwards.
