Special Family Gathering Event!

Calling all nature enthusiasts in our Extreme Kids & Crew community! Come join us this summer for a trip to the Lonely Worm Farm. Founded by Extreme Kids’ very own Eliza Factor and her partner Jason, this beautiful location in Hyde Park, NY was inspired by their son, Felix, and their vision to create an outdoor haven for individuals with disabilities.

At Lonely Worm Farm, we’ll have the opportunity to connect with the beauty of nature and with each other. Plus, spray fans and squirt guns will be available on-site to help us stay cool in the event it is a hot day! Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Create: The farm offers a variety of art activities aimed at self-expression, community collaboration, and experimentation.
  • Harvest: In season, the farm invites visitors to pick their own ecologically raised vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
  • Learn: Pick up some earth-friendly farm skills and learn about wild food and herb identification.

To make the trip as convenient as possible for you, we are providing coach bus transportation to and from the farm. The bus will depart from P.S. 282 in Park Slope at 10 AM and will return at approximately 6 PM. Please note: The bus ride is approximately two hours. There is air conditioning on board. Still confirming a bathroom.

Whether you’re a green thumb or just looking to soak in the tranquility, this trip offers a chance to step away from the city’s hustle and bustle, and into a space of peace and camaraderie. Prepare for a day of fun, connection, and exploration at the Lonely Worm Farm!

To ensure everyone’s comfort, we’re limiting the number of participating families each month. A non-refundable fee of $9 covers up to four family members. This fee will assist us in preserving the quality of our meetups and ensure sufficient resources for future events.
