On this episode of The Future of Comedy Show we are back in Traverse City W/Nationally Touring Headliners Mike Ball and Big Juicy plus FOCS regulars Donte Lillard, Joe Kelley and TC’s Funny Lady, Marti Johnson. Please remember doors are at 6:30 PM and show begins at 7:30pm.

Mike Ball is a nationally acclaimed headliner and the creative force behind the award-winning comedy series, “The Future of Comedy Show,” boasting an impressive portfolio of over 700 shows produced. His comedic prowess has graced renowned venues such as The Chicago Laugh Factory, San Diego Comedy Palace, and various locations across the Midwest, earning the prestigious title of Best Event in Midland by the Midland Daily News.

Amassing a staggering 4 million views on Facebook Reels, Mike’s comedic journey includes performances at illustrious venues like the World Famous Comedy Store and the Nashville Zanies All Stars Show. He brought laughter to unexpected places, including a memorable performance at the Michigan International Speedway during Nascar weekend. Notably, he was featured on the #1 show in Vegas, “The Dirty at 12:30.” 

Mike Ball’s impressive career has seen him sharing the stage with comedy legends such as Ralphie May, Dave Landau, Jeff Acuri and SNL cast member Molly Kearney.  Big Juicy a 20 year veteran of comedy. Originally from Flint, Michigan the home of the water crisis. She has performed coast to coast opening for Mad TV Legend, Aries Spiers, Dee Ray Davis and cult sensation Michael Blackson. Big Juicy has performed in every single kind of venue from back yard bbqs to the world famous San Franciso Musuem of Modern Art and the Detroit Oprah House. You will know when she gets on stage because positive energy is her fragrance

Donte Lillard- The Baby Boy Himself, Donte Lillard. Hes been seen Opening for the likes of Eddie Griffin, Michael Longfellow, Brad Williams etc. Donte brings a no-holds barred attitude every time he hits the stage. Whether discussing race, economic status, or his love of rib tips, the laughs never stop with Donte on the mic. From Mi to TX, He’s Been Bringing it at venues such as Mark Ridleys Comedy Castle, The Creek and The Cave ATX and The Lincoln Lodge. You can catch him Performing with Dog Comic Productions, like the Sold Out Wealthy Theater show in 2022 and The Dog Fight Roast Battles.

Joe Kelley- Originally from Flint, Michigan, Joe Kelley began his career in entertainment by embarking on a path of radio broadcasting. After years of broadcasting, he sold all his worldly possessions and then moved to Maui to focus on his true passion… psychoactive compounds found in plants. This led to a great awakening that resulted in Joe moving to Nashville to begin performing stand-up comedy in 2012.

Joe quickly became a regular at Zanies, and participated in The Broken Record Show (an 8-day Guinness World Record-breaking show) in 2015 and 2016. He then bought a gold minivan, named it “Goldie” and, to no one’s surprise, began living in that van. He would spend 3 years living the van life, traveling all over the country performing at comedy clubs, music venues, bars, coffee shops, and even a bowling alley or two.

Joe has been featured on BravoTV and released “Ladies & Leftovers” an independently-produced comedy special in 2021.
Joe’s charm, matched with his delivery of dirty jokes makes him loved and adored by audiences everywhere. His unique style has allowed him to work with a variety of comedians such as Tom Segura, Dulcé Sloan, Big Jay Oakerson, Ron Funches, Mark Normand, Josh Blue, Clayton English, and many others. Marti Johnson- Marti Johnson is TC’s Funny Lady! 2 Time winner of Traverse City Magazine’s Red Hot Best Comedian. She has traveled the Midwest having the opportunities to open for comedy legends Dave Landau, Leanne Morgan and John Heffron. You may have seen her at TC Comedy Club or Michigan’s premiere comedy festival, Laughfest.
