4th Annual Community LINC Changemaker’s Cup – Kansas City, MO

Join us on September 24th at KC Bier, Kansas City’s finest brewery, for an unforgettable evening of beer, connection, and support for a great cause: Community LINC. Sip on some exceptional brews while mingling with other emerging leaders and gaining insights into the incredible work done by Community LINC. KC Bier will be donating a portion of every bier sale to the cause beginning at 3:00PM. Tourament check-in will begin at 5:30pm and the tournament will run from 6-9PM.

And that’s not all! Get ready for a unique twist on the classic beer pong game. We’re taking it to a whole new level with a life-size beer pong tournament using soccer balls and paint buckets as the playing equipment. It’s bound to be a blast as you and your partner showcase your skills and aim for victory. Plus, it adds an extra element of excitement and fun to the event.

To enter the tournament, the registration fee is $60 per team ($30 for an individual), which includes bavarian pretzels to snack on during the games. The tournament will follow a double elimination format. The winning team will have the honor of receiving coveted tickets to the annual Rent Party.

A lso, our fantastic hosts, KC Bier, will donate $1 of every beer purchased from 3-9pm ont he day of the event!

Remember, all proceeds from the event, including the tournament, will contribute to the Rent Party Auction Item sponsored by the Changemaker’s Group. By participating in the tournament, you’ll not only have a great time but also make a meaningful impact in supporting Community LINC’s mission.

Through years of dedication, they have developed innovative housing programs that expand their capacity to help more families and enhance their support services.

Program recipients benefit from a comprehensive range of services, including housing location assistance, intensive trauma-informed case management, employment support, financial coaching, and children’s programming. These holistic programs empower families to regain stability and achieve permanent housing. Remarkably, their last retention study demonstrated that 85% of participants remained stably housed over a 5-year period, based on data from Kansas City’s Homeless Information System tracking shelter relapse and service utilization.

At Community LINC, the staff embodies a shared drive to facilitate families’ transition from homelessness to homefullness. Through innovation, creativity, and flexibility, they strategically craft programs that actively make a difference in our community. The team consists of like-minded, fun-loving individuals who genuinely believe in the power of collaboration to create a home, a sense of belonging, and a thriving community for everyone.
