Join us for 12 hours to dive into the basics of sewing. Class will be held in ETA 208 on the Lake Worth.

Are you ready to embark on a creative journey through the sewing world? Over the next 12 hours, we will dive into the basics of sewing, where you’ll learn essential skills that will empower you to create your unique projects.

Getting Started

You will become familiar with the sewing machine and its parts. We’ll learn to set it up, thread the machine, and wind a bobbin. You’ll also discover essential sewing tools and materials and how to use them effectively.

Mastering Techniques

We will focus on fundamental sewing techniques. You’ll practice straight stitches, backstitches, and seams. We’ll explore different fabric types and discuss which are best suited for various projects.

Bringing It All Together

You’ll put your newfound skills to the test by completing a simple project. You’ll follow a pattern, cut fabric, and assemble your creation step-by-step. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a finished project to take home and show off!
