Don’t miss this upcoming 2024 Local Event in Clayton, CA. Happening on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center. Doors open at 5:00 PM.

Join our naturalists for a short talk about the tarantulas. We will then go exploring for plant & animal life as well as other critters.

Hike Info: Join our naturalists for a short talk. We will then go exploring for plant & animal life, arachnids, and other critters. Walk is about 2 + miles with a little elevation gain. Slow to moderate pace with nature stops along the way.

Online reservation required – limited to 20 participants. Please cancel your reservation if you will not come so that others may take your spot!!

Leaders: Various Naturalists

Location: Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center ( 96 Mitchell Canyon Road, Clayton, CA)

Fee: This event is free but a donation is appreciated. Parking fee of $6 per vehicle, $5 for seniors. Self pay & exact change only (no coins please!) at entrance to the park at the STOP sign. Pay digitally by scanning QR code at entrance sign or text CA2902 to 53242. No app required!

Where to Meet: We will assemble near the Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center.

What to Bring: Dress in layers and wear good hiking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them. Bring liquids.
