Monkey Butt 2 Day 2024 – Newark, NY

This years event poses to be another great one! Here are the details.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old to enter.
• Open to licensed bikes.
• Working headlight and taillight.
• Valid motorcycle plate mounted to rear fender.
• Your helmet must be on your head at times you are riding your motorcycle
• NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse entry to any rider or motorcycle that does not meet the above requirements.

Important Notes

• All bikes must pass tech inspection before proceeding to sign in. Tech inspection will take place Friday 4-8pm, Saturday 6:00 – 9:00am, 4 – 8pm, and Sunday 6:00 – 9:00am.
• Mandatory riders meeting on Saturday and Sunday will take place at 9:00am. Last bike is out by 9:30.
• Door prizes will be awarded at riders meeting, must be present to win.
• Last year’s Hero Hold ‘Em was a success. This will continue this year with more details to follow.
• This event is held rain or shine.
• New(er) knobbies recommended.
• Route sheet holder and resettable trip may be helpful, but not required. Course will be well arrowed.
• Please pack up your trash and carry it out with you.
• T-shirts can be pre-ordered. T-shirts will be available the day of the event, but size and quantity is not guranteed.

During the ride

• Please be respectful of the houses as you pass by. Go slowly and give them a wave to let them know you appreciate the opportunity to ride in this area. All of our land owners volunteer the use of their property for this event.
• Be sure to bring some money for the gas stop and a cell phone.
• Obey all traffic laws.

Terrain

• This event will be mainly single track throughout Wayne County. You can expect 70-80 miles each day.
• The trails are on private property and are only available to registered riders the day(s) of the event.
• There will be indicated “hero” sections of this course. They are not recommended for beginner riders or large displacement true dual sports. They should be attempted by B riders or above.

Food & Beverage

• There will be an included snack stop on Saturday.
• An included chicken bbq will be provided Saturday evening. Additional dinners can be pre-ordered this year.
• There will be an included snack stop on Sunday.
• An included garbage plate will be provided on Sunday. Additional plates may be pre-ordered this year.
• Breakfast will be available on both days at an additional charge.

Camping/Lodging

• Primitive camping is allowed on site Friday and Saturday.
• No electric or water.
• Bathrooms (porta potties)will be available.
• Campfires are permitted.
• Property owner will have camp wood available as well as a bike wash for a fee
