For Students in Grades 6-9 (Fall 2024)

How do food webs impact the flow of energy through a habitat? Students will investigate this question and more as they dissect an owl pellet to learn where an owl’s energy comes from. Afterwards, they’ll construct a bone diagram for them to take home.

Some of the guided activities:

  • Conduct a mini-food web investigation to discover how energy flows through an ecosystem.
  • Dissect owl pellets to learn what barn owls eat to gain energy.
  • Construct a diagram of bones found in the owl pellets to clearly demonstrate what owls consume.

Refund Policy:

Full refunds will be given if requested more than 7 days before the start date of your event.

Partial refunds (50% tuition) will be given if requested 7 days or less before the start date of your event.
