Whiskey Dram Sunday: Cask Finished – MAPLEWOOD, MO

One Sunday a month here at Vom Fass we gather with our fellow whiskey lovers to sample a flight of whiskeys – each with an overall theme – before enjoying a full dram of the whiskey or spirit of your choice. With Vom Fass being a Germany-based company, this whole event is based around the concept of Stammtisch which could be defined as a casual gathering of people who come together to share a drink and chat. We hope you’ll join us to both drink and discuss one of life’s little pleasures: whiskey!

For October, our whiskey ambassador Joe has chosen a trio of whiskeys that have been “cask finished”. After spending years gently aging in one type of oak barrel, they have seen additional time in casks that once held other spirits to important subtle flavors from the barrel’s previous occupant. Once we’ve sampled, guests can take their pick of almost any of the rare whiskeys and other fine bottlings we carry here at Vom Fass to enjoy a full dram pour. These events are designed to help us all appreciate whiskey a little more in a relaxed, and welcoming environment. All are welcome to join in the fun. There’s even snacks!

The three whiskeys we’ll be featuring for this event include:

-Stephen’s Choice Irish Single Malt Whiskey (ex-bourbon cask)

-Celtic Stout Irish Single Malt Whiskey (ex-Irish Ale cask)

-Lone Hawthorne Bordeaux Red Wine Cask (ex-Bordeaux cask)

Sample these three, and then enjoy a full dram (1 1/2 oz) of your favorite or pick another spirit or liqueur from our wall of barrels! As a special thank you, we are also offering attendees a 10% discount of any bottles they wish to take home following the event. Please note: If you would like to be seated with others who have signed up for this event, please let us know a few days before the event. This will greatly help us when setting up seating.

Refund Policy: If notified 72 hours or more before the event we are happy to provide guests with a full refund of your ticket price (Eventbrite will not refund any fees). If you should need to cancel in less than 72 hours, we can either roll your tickets over into a different event or offer you a store credit for the ticket price (which will not include Eventbrite fees).
