This breakfast celebrates our shared commitment to cultivate thriving and racial justice in school communities. Lead by Learning directly supports teacher retention and professional satisfaction, collective efficacy, and improved student outcomes. As the newest center of Mills College at Northeastern University, Lead by Learning is uniquely situated to nurture public schools that empower educators and students to be impactful agents of change in their lives.

Join us to fulfill this mission on September 27th from 8-9:30 a.m. in the historic Julia Morgan Student Union at Mills College at Northeastern University in Oakland.

Start your Friday off right with a delicious breakfast and live entertainment by local students, alongside a powerful network of education champions. Learn about Lead by Learning’s new strategic vision, RISE, which focuses on increasing access and impact to deepen equity and anti-racism in schools. Hear a keynote by an expert in the education field. Find out how you can support programs that are making a difference in the day-to-day lives of students and families.

About Lead by Learning:
Established in 2009, Lead by Learning is a community-facing, professional learning center of Mills College at Northeastern University. We significantly improve students’ day-to-day learning experiences by building the capacity of those best positioned to understand and address students’ needs—the educators and leaders who work with them daily. Lead by Learning creates communities of adult learners who advance educational equity by collaboratively focusing on learners’ experiences and assessing impact to adapt to students’ immediate needs.
