4th Annual Murder Mystery Cocktail Party – Queens, NY

Howdy Partner! 

Join us for a rootin’ tootin’ Cowboy-Themed Murder Mystery Party, where secrets are darker than a moonless night and danger lurks behind every saloon door.This in-person event will be held at Grove 34, 34th Street, Queens, NY, USA. 

The Details:

This is going to be fun! We have organized an evening to mingle, play a game, and dress up! Ticket price includes food & drinks. 

Characters:

We have levels of character for everyone, from those who thrive in the limelight to those armchair detectives who are more interested in solving the crime.

We have 20 “Main” Character Tickets whose action during the evening will have major effects on the game. While the majority of the characters are gender neutral, there are a few characters that are written as men’s parts. We asked many members their thoughts on having male roles, and it was decided enough women would be comfortable with the gender bending and dressing up in costumes. Please contact ladiesfirstastoria@gmail.com if you want to be a main character, but being selected to play a male role makes you uncomfortable.

We also have an 20 “General” Character tickets whose actions can enhance & change the game, but serve as more investigative roles to solve the mystery. These roles are still encouraged to dress up & they make the game a lot more intriguing to play.

When you arrive, the game will begin and you will be given a set of objectives, some money (Fake money – to use creatively throughout the night to achieve those objectives) and it will be your chance to enjoy the evening.

We will have stages along the way as we move through the story and game. There is no way for us to 100% predict how the evening will unfold because that depends on YOU! Can you achieve your objectives? Will gossip get in the way? Will personalities change the game? No matter the ending, the evening is sure to be a blast and a chance to celebrate the season together!

Timeline:

September 12th – Tickets on sale! Yay!

October 1st – We will host an Instagram Live at 7PM to pull the 20 Main Character parts for those attendees. If you cannot make it, the video will be posted on IG.

October 4th (6-9 PM)- The LFA Board will be at Bohemian Beer Garden on 23rd Ave to hand out the welcome information. This is where any attendee can ask questions, learn some inside information (wink, wink) and pick up the info you need to have the most success the evening of the party. We will be emailing it out the general information as well. Also, grab a drink and hangout!

October 15th (6:45 Doors Open-9:15PM) – The party will commence at 7:00 PM sharp. Please arrive and check in on time to prevent holes in the storyline.There’ll be plenty of grub and drinks to keep your spirits high while you piece together clues and uncover the truth.
