Two of Wisconsin’s top chefs go all-in for a memorable seven-course Mediterranean tasting dinner.

Chef Mary Kastman began her culinary career in Madison with Chef Justin Carlisle (Restaurant Muramoto, 43 North) before relocating to Boston in 2011, where she discovered her love for Eastern Mediterranean food and spice while working at Oleana and Sarma restaurants. Mary relocated to Viroqua, Wisconsin and took on the role of Executive Chef at the Driftless Cafe in the spring of 2019, where she was a James Beard Semi-Finalist for Best Chef, Midwest.

Chef Kastman will spend 3 days in residence at Seven Acre where she will explore her passion for local food and agriculture through the lens of eastern Mediterranean flavors through a series of inspired dinners with unique formats.

On the final day of her residency, Chef Kastman has invited Justin Carlisle, owner of Ardent in Milwaukee, to prepare a seven-course tasting menu that features the late fall harvest of local farms in the area and is inspired by Kastman’s love for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. Expect bold flavors and vibrant ingredients woven throughout this once-in-a-lifetime culinary journey from two of Wisconsin’s top chefs.

The details:

  • Bar opens at 5pm.
  • Dinner at 6pm. Dinner includes 7 courses.
  • Tickets: $125 + 20% service charge and tax. Staff gratuity is not expected beyond this service charge.
  • Alcoholic and N/A beverages available for purchase.
  • The Eventbrite deposit is $75 per ticket. This will be subtracted from your final bill.
