Home to just 161 people, the Isle of Raasay (Old Norse for roe deer island) lies off the west coast of Scotland in the Inner Hebrides, a short 25 minute ferry journey from Sconser on the Isle of Skye. This corner of the world is known for its breathtaking natural beauty, exaggerated landscapes, impressive geology, and one of Scotland’s most incredibly diverse ecosystems.

FIRST LEGAL DISTILLERY ON THE ISLE OF RAASAY

Rooted in centuries of illicit distilling, the Hebridean Isle of Raasay provides the ingredients for the perfect dram. Illicit distilling is said to have taken place here as recently as 1850, with archaeological evidence of a collapsed still on the island.

The Isle of Raasay Single Malt is a taste of a ruggedly elegant, exceptionally diverse island. A lightly peated single malt balanced with rich dark fruit flavours. Our carefully crafted and unique recipe combines peated and unpeated Raasay spirit that has been matured in three different types of oak cask.

Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or new to the world of Scotch, this event promises to delight your senses and enrich your palate.

A 6.30 PM start will give you the opportunity to join us for dinner after the event—either staying in The Assembly Room with your tasting party or new friends, or moving into our dining room or out onto our gorgeous patio!

This event will be held at The Haven, located in the JPNDC Brewery Complex on Amory Street in Jamaica Plain, MA, USA.
