Team tournament will begin at 8:30 am and end at 10:30 am

Two per team

Beginners are welcome to attend. Richard Lederer will be conducting free lessons. Indicate if you will need a paddle.

The Format

Our format is ladder play on 10 courts (#1 is top and #10 is bottom). That means you and your partner will play the first game on an assigned court, and then winners will move up to the higher court, split up, and find new partners on that court. The losers will move down to the lower court, split up, and find new partners on that court.

Exceptions to this are courts 1, 2, and 10. Winners on court 1 stay partnered and on that court. Winners on court 2 move up but stay partnered. Losers on court 10 will split up but stay on court 10, and play again.

The Ladder

Contestants will be placed on the ladder for the first game based on assessment of players’ current level of play. Lower ranked players will start toward the bottom of the ladder and higher ranked players will start toward the top. Where you end up will be determined by how well you play relative to other players on the ladder. The better you can assess your skillset, the better you will be placed to play people at your level.

Every 15 Minutes

• Games will start precisly every 15 minutes to keep play moving.
• Courts are reserved for 2 hours starting at 8:30 am.
• Play will be to 11 points (win by 2), or whoever is ahead at the end of the 15 minutes.
• Get to your court quickly and warm up. You only have 15 minutes to get your warmup AND game completed before moving courts, and starting the new competition game.
• We will play 6 games. The two top teams will have a final competition on Court 1.
• The Awards Ceremony will reward cash for first place, and prizes for other winners.
