Drag, Jokes & Football Folks: a comedy fundraiser – Chicago, IL

Join us for a night of comedy, drag, and good vibes as we raise funds to send the Chicago Storm, a Queer Women’s+ flag football team, to the Sin City Classic in Vegas this January! The largest annual LGBTQ+ sporting event in the world!

They’re aiming to raise $12K to cover travel, lodging, and tournament fees, and every laugh brings us closer to their goal.

Come out, support diversity, and enjoy a night of entertainment that champions the LGBTQ+ community. Your support will help them storm the field in Vegas!

Doors at 6pm and our comedy show starts at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until 1am.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black doors on Campbell Ave and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799

ABOUT THE COMEDIANS

Chloe Mikala (she/her) is a Black Queer award winning actor, comedian, and writer. She’s opened for Dulce? Sloan, Bobcat Goldthwait, Adam Conover, Marcella Arguello and more. She’s been seen on multiple stages and festivals such as Laugh Factory, Comedy on State, Comedy Vault, Madison Comedy Festival, and the Black Women in Comedy Laff Festival in NYC (Best of Fest Runner Up ‘23), just to name a few. She’s performed with The Second City, where she was a Bob Curry Fellow, and is a co-producer/ensemble member for the all Black comedy variety show “My Best Friend is Black”, which was voted as the Best Comedy Show by the Chicago Reader. Chloe also has a horror movie on Tubi called “Re-Elected” and spoiler she doesn’t die first. Absolutely groundbreaking. IG: @chloe_mikala

Sam Rocha is a Chicago-based comic and creator. She has traveled throughout the midwest performing stand-up and has become a featured comic at top comedy Chicago clubs like Zanies, Lincoln Lodge, and Laugh Factory, where she produces SASHAY the last Sunday of every month. She is an understudy for the Second City touring company, was a finalist on the sixth season of Improvised Survivor, and produces her own viral film parodies on TikTok. Jessica Mance – is a Chicago-based stand up comedian originally from Northern California. She has performed at comedy clubs across the country (Zanies, Laugh Factory) and in Europe. Jessica is a producer of Sashay: A Queer Comedy and Drag Brunch on the last Sunday of the month at Laugh Factory Chicago. IG: @thatsmybaybae

Phillippe Mignon is a Chicago drag king and a proud member of the Haus of Wonder. Self proclaimed Chicago’s Choice Cut. Some are saying he’s meaty, some say he’s juicy, but all agree he’s beefy. IG: @philippe_mignon_

Shawn Banks (he/him/they/them) is comedian and drag performer who has performed all over the midwest for the past 4 years. Shawn has both performed and hosted a plethora of shows at Chicago’s most established clubs such as The Comedy Bar, Zanies Comedy Club, The Lincoln Lodge, and The Laugh Factory. He is also a co-producer at one of the longest running shows at the Laugh Factory Chicago, “Lowkey Funny”. Shawn is the first person to host said show in Drag ( that being the Juneteenth show in 2023), and also hosted the World Comedy Expo in 2022. Shawn describes himself as an observationist comic, who critiques many of life’s woes with a dark and cynical tone, and you might miss under all the cuteness and fanciful demeanor. IG: @bankzzyyy

Rebecca O’Neal is a stand up comedian and writer based in Chicago (South Side born & raised!) & Brooklyn. Her comedy can be seen on HBO Max, Netflix, The CW, Comedy Central, WCIU, & more! She is a regular at Laugh Factory Chicago and the late Caroline’s on Broadway, was named a TBS Comic To Watch at the New York Comedy Festival, and has opened for Roy Wood Jr, Hannibal Buress, Maria Bamford, Janeane Garofalo, Arsenio Hall, Jaboukie Young-White, Ron Funches, Sasheer Zamata, Joel Kim Booster & more! She’s been featured in Vulture, Elle Magazine, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Vice, Bitch Magazine, Paper Magazine and Chicago staples such at the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Reader, and Block Club Chicago.
