Gametime Lanes & Entertainment brings another all-star lineup to Amesbury with double headliners Jim Colliton and Boston’s Comedy Queen, Christine Hurley, along with host Jeff Koen on Friday, Oct. 4.

Jim Colliton is a nationally-known comedian who performs top clubs and theaters in New England and on cruise ships all over the world. After spending his teen years in hand-me-down Vidal Sassoon jeans from five older sisters, Colliton parlayed his travails into a top spot on Ed McMahon’s Next Big Star. He has since appeared on Comedy Central, NBC, Fox, and CBS. Married and raising three kids in the Boston suburbs, Jim’s comedy focuses on the Dads: from lousy father day gifts to buying the wrong thing at the supermarket. He and fellow comedian Karen Morgan perform in theaters in the show Lawn & Order, about family life. His first album, Stories from the Suburbs, was named Best Comedy Album by the Just Plain Folks Music Festival in Nashville. Christine Hurley loves what she does…making people laugh! Married to Jimmy Hurley and having five kids, Christine is never at a loss for comedic material. For years, she entertained family, friends and neighbors in their kitchens, at barbeques and the grocery store aisles. The only difference now is she uses a microphone and a stage and has become one of the hottest comedians in the United States. Christine’s maiden voyage into the world of stand-up comedy was an open audition in New York City. The television network Nick at Nite was looking for America’s Funniest Mom. Out of thousands of entries, Christine was selected to be a finalist on the nationally televised show. The producers of the show included Carol Leifer (Seinfeld show producer), Jeff Singer (talent scout, Montreal Comedy Festival), Jeffrey Ross (Comedy Central roast master) and actress Sandra Bernhardt. Her stories and views on motherhood and marriage are exactly what everyone is living through…people get it and love it! Christine Hurley has quickly become a favorite in the Boston comedy world.

Jeff Koen’s family was on America’s Funniest Home Videos and won $10,000. Can anything be more glamorous than that? Koen often works the clubs and theaters of New England with Juston McKinney, and is in constant demand as an actor on independent film projects. He’s known for his portrayal of one of the characters in the on-line cartoon Man Servants, and for playing the offensive “Uncle Rick” in the 2010 cult film Heavy Times, which gained him fans from all of the world, though not very many in any one country. “A guy from Sri Lanka wanted to visit me and stay at my house,” he said. “All he needed me to do was write a letter to the prime minister.” His work has appeared at many film festivals, and he’s a regular performer on the Hampton Beach (NH) Comedy Festival.
