Join us for talks and field outings at the Wehle Land Conservation Center in Midway, AL!

This will be the first time ALAPARC’s annual meeting is held at the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’s Wehle Land Conservation Center. Purchased through the Forever Wild Program, the Wehle Tract is over 1500 acres of beautiful fire-maintained pine woodlands and hardwood bottoms.

Our meeting will include a diverse array of talks invlolving education, research, and conservation of Alabama’s herpetofauna as well as field outings to explore the Wehle Tract. This year’s theme will center around fire-adapted herpetofauna and the importance of fire in the management of those species.
