Summer may be ending, but we’re still feeling Floatloose and Fancy-Free! This month our adventures commence from Grand Army Plaza in Manhattan, and we’ve got such sights to show you. Emily Harkins has found some brand new dancefloors, and we can’t wait to show you the secret spots hidden on the eastern side of Manhattan. With three dynamite mixes courtesy of Kuppi Jessop, Alison Schilling, and Emily herself, our penultimate Floating Dancing Party is looking like a truly magnificent month.  

You’ll be following Emily at early Floats, and Anna Tobin at second waves and on Fridays.

You’ll be able to take advantage of Floatcheck, our mobile coat and bag check service throughout the night. This month we will not be starting at a bar, but there are some bar options in the surrounding area if you have need of drinks or a bathroom ahead of time. Expect the event to last about three hours, with two intermissions which are at bars, and likely no afterparty this time, unfortunately. Check-in only runs thirty minutes, so do not delay! If you are late you may be left behind and might not be able to catch up. 

What is Float: What The Float is a one-of-a-kind immersive dance party adventure and the only naturally socially distant dance party in the city. Explore New York in a synchronous groove odyssey with the music pulsed directly into your brain but silent to any observers. Simultaneously the city’s most private dance party and its most public spectacle. Dance where you’ve never dreamed of dancing before. Take a three hour journey through the hidden beauty of both New York City and your own freshly liberated soul. Join us the third and fourth weekend of every month for new dance jams, new dance spots, and new dance friends.

How to Float: Dress to be true to you. Wear comfortable shoes in which you can dance and run and climb and jump on even and slippery terrain. Please bring as little as possible, as Floatcheck space is limited. We’ll equip you with glowing headsets, and lead you on the dance party adventure of a lifetime.

Please join us promptly at your start time if you do not want to be left behind. Check-in is only thirty minutes, and we want to keep things moving as quickly as possible. This is an age 21+ only event. All tickets are FULLY REFUNDABLE, no questions asked, with advance notice; if you are in any way concerned about your well-being, we would very much prefer you stayed home.
