Welcome to the African Drum and Dance Workshop for All Ages!

Come join us at The Village Church for a fun-filled event where you can learn traditional West African percussion and dance moves. This workshop taught by AfricaNashville is perfect for all ages and skill levels, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner! Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Africa as our experienced instructors guide you through the basics of drumming and dancing. You’ll leave feeling energized and inspired!

Yeli Ensemble

Yeli Ensemble is an adaptable troupe of performers primarily composed of two Guinean master musicians – Ibrahima ‘Ibro’ Dioubate and Sekouna Conte. Additionally, they are joined for select performances by South African gumboots dancer & choreographer Michael Moloi and AfricaNashville co-founder Windship Boyd. The group is available for performances ranging from full length festival concerts to clinic-style lecture demos & workshops at schools, universities, and community centers in Nashville and beyond.
