  • Knowledge of the physiology of lung disease in sBPD and the impact on ventilator strategies.
  • Understanding of the etiology of lymphatic dysfunction in sBPD.
  • Knowledge of the current evidence on the effect of ductal and intracardiac shunts on pulmonary vascular disease in infants with sBPD.
  • Appreciation of the “Optimal state” in sBPD and strategies for achieving this condition.
  • Understanding the impact of interdisciplinary partnership for care of infants with sBPD.
  • Knowledge of the benefit and opportunities for use of data dashboards and data analytics

After participating in this activity, the attendees will be able to:

  • Apply learned physiology and phenotypes of lung disease to ventilator management.
  • Recognize lymphatic dysfunction in sBPD.
  • Apply the evidence for ductal and intracardiac shunts to support local care guidelines/practices.
  • Consider opportunities in practice to promote infants achieving the optimal state in sBPD.
  • Assess for areas to improve interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Identify local opportunities to partner with data analytics team to facilitate real-time management.
