The village of Areni (in last Arpa) since ancient times has been considered as winemaking center of Armenia. Located in the Vayots Dzor region, in the valley of the Arpa River. At the entrance to the city there are two beautiful wineries, where you will have the opportunity to take an excursion and taste the best varieties of Armenian wine. Also here, every year in October take place a wonderful wine festival, where various wine producers from all over the Republic gather and present their production.

Noravank Monastery (translated as New Monastery) was built in the 13th century and is one of the oldest and most famous Monasteries of Armenia. It is located on a slope near Areni, surrounded by its famous red hills. In 1996, there was an attempt to add the Monastery complex to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Also, some of the buildings of the complex were built by the famous ancient sculptor Momik. It is surrounded by territory for exciting walks and massive ridges with a fantastic landscape, where you can take amazing photos for memory.

The ancient astronomical observatory Karahunge is located at an altitude of 1800 meters in the Syunik region, near the city of Sisian. The complex of 223 stones, also called Zorats Karer (Stone Army), according to various sources, has more than five thousand years of history, and which is also very similar with Stonehenge in England. This is a very interesting place for lovers of history, astronomy, as well as for lovers of wonderful walks in the fresh air.

The fabulous Shaki Waterfall is located in the Syunik region, surrounded by amazing mountains. The height of the third waterfall in Armenia is 20 meters and is an integral part of one of the largest rivers in Armenia, the Vorotan River. Legend has it that in one of the wars in ancient times, the enemy captured 100 beauties in Armenia and led them to his commander as concubines, among the beauties was a very beautiful blue-eyed girl, named Shake, who in order to avoid the fate of the concubine, jumped and crossed the river, when the soldiers chased her in order to catch, at that moment a rock in the river was rise, blocking the path of the soldiers and formed a waterfall, with the help of which she was able to hide, after that the waterfall was named in honor of this girl, as Shaki.
