EXPERIENCE

Pick up from the meeting point

Peruvian Gold Museum.
Here we appreciate the spectacular pieces of the Museum of Peruvian gold and weapons of the world. The ancient Peruvians worked metals masterfully. The “Cireperdue” (lost wax) procedure, known in the East and disappeared in the West until the Renaissance, was the most used by these magnificent goldsmiths. Our excursion to the Peruvian Gold Museum allows you to appreciate a dazzling collection of gold pieces from various pre-Columbian cultures, some more than 3,000 years old.

Objects and jewelery of incalculable value are exhibited, worked in gold, silver and precious stones, highlighting the ornaments and objects that in their time of splendor were used by the Incas, sons of the sun god and monarchs of the vast Inca empire. The fame of Peru’s gold attracted numerous European adventurers 500 years ago and was the cause of the end of the Inca empire, giving rise to the viceroyalty of Peru, from the Spanish colony.

The Peruvian Gold Museum also exhibits a valuable collection of ancient and modern weapons that are considered one of the best of its kind in the world. In these rooms, armor, uniforms and objects from various times and places are displayed, some even dating back to 1300 years BC. This exhibition is known as the weapons of the world museum.
