EXPERIENCE

Speyer Cathedral is one of the most important buildings of medieval Germany. Built throughout the 11th century it is the burial place of 11 german emperors, empresses and kings and the largest existing romanesque church worldwide.
Starting at the entrance hall climb 90 steps to the Emperor¼s Hall and watch the giant frescoes of Johann Baptist Schraudolph painted in the 19th century inside the cathedral. From there another 200 steps take you to the observation platform which offers you amazing views on one of the oldest towns in Germany and the upper Rhine valley.
