EXPERIENCE:

Embark on a journey back in time during a walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Village of Saltaire, which dates back to the 1800s. Pass through different parts of Saltaire and see Sir Titus Salts’ model village in all its glory.

Start your full-day walking tour at Saltaire Train Station. First you will have a guided tour of the lower part of Saltaire where you will be able to see how and why Sir Titus Salt build this spectacular model village. Look out for the fantastic Victorian Architecture of The Saltaire reformed church and Victoria Hall

The next stop will be free time in Salts Mill where you will be able to grab a coffee and look around the art gallery which boasts art work from the world famous David Hockney. There is also a range of shops here.

Next up, you will enjoy free time on the Saltaire Main high street, which is littered with restaurants and small independent shops. This part of the tour will allow you to eat your lunch (lunch not included)

After lunch, you will be taken down to Hirst Wood and Roberts park. There will be some good photo stops at various locations of the part of the tour as you make your way to the Shipley Glenn Tram.

The final stop before heading back to the meeting point is a trip up to the top of Shipley Glenn to see the ancient rock formations.
