EXPERIENCE:

Your Rome exploration will begin at Campo de’ Fiori, a bustling, vibrant open-air market during the day that becomes a lively hub for nightlife after sunset. Here, you’ll wander through the colorful array of stalls offering an eclectic mix of goods, from fresh produce and fragrant flowers to artisanal cheese and baked goods.
Look for the statue in the center of the square, dedicated to the philosopher Giordano Bruno. Your guide will share his tragic story as you soak up the aromatic smells and colorful sights around you, experiencing the distinctive verve of daily Roman life.
From there, a short stroll through winding cobblestone streets leads you to Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in Rome, renowned for its magnificent fountains and stunning Baroque architecture. Take a moment to admire the splendor of the Fountain of the Four Rivers, with its intricately carved statues representing the Nile, Ganges, Danube, and Rio de la Plata. As you sit by the fountain, enjoy the sight of street performers and artists capturing the beauty of the square, and perhaps indulge in a scoop of gelato.
Your next stop will be the iconic Pantheon, a mere five-minute walk from Piazza Navona. As you approach, you’ll be awestruck by its massive columns, grand portico, dome, and enormous bronze doors. The Pantheon, a former Roman temple that’s now a church, holds the tombs of several important Italians, including the artist Raphael, making it as much a historical site as an architectural wonder.
Leaving the Pantheon, you will head towards the Trevi Fountain, the largest Baroque fountain in Rome and arguably the most famous in the world. The sprawling fountain has detailed carvings, like Neptune’s chariot, which your guide will point out while sharing the secret of a legend that promises your return to Rome.
Your final stop will be the elegant Piazza di Spagna, famous for its Spanish Steps. These 135 steps lead up to the Trinità dei Monti Church, providing an incredible vantage point over the city.
Here, you can sit and watch the world go by, observe fashionable locals and tourists alike, or perhaps visit the nearby Keats-Shelley House. Your guide will have plenty of recommendations of how to continue your day after our tour — just ask!
