Morning:

Colosseum
Breeze past the crowds and enter the Colosseum promptly with your guide. As you enter this ancient Roman structure, your guide will take you back in time and set the scene for what attending a gladiator match was really like. You’ll explore the first and second tiers of the Colosseum, areas that were originally reserved for only Rome’s most elite classes.

Roman Forum
After visiting the Colosseum, explore the ancient Roman Forum with your guide. Standing a brief two-minute walk from the Colosseum, your guide will escort you through the ancient archaeological site and begin explaining its significance in ancient Rome. Ever watched a movie that takes place in ancient Rome and you see people walking around a crazy marketplace? That’s the Forum. This really is where all the action happened. From senate meetings, to poetry performances and political protests, the Roman Forum really was the cultural hub of ancient Rome.

Palatine Hill
From the Heart of the Ancient City, our guide will take you to what used to be home to the crème Della crème of the Romans – The Palatine Hill. With its panoramic views of the city and being the place where Roman was said to originally have been founded by the famous twins Romulus and Remus. Walk on the marble remainders of Rome’s greatest and let our guide introduce you to palaces and artifacts of up to 2000-year-old.

Afternoon:

Vatican Museums
Join our guide on a journey through the extensive hallways of the Vatican, exploring some of its most impressive rooms. From Apollo’s Belvedere, the Laocoön and Nero’s Bathtub to the Hall of the Tapestries and Raphael’s Rooms holding the majestic school of Athens painting. A visit to this museum will not cease to amaze, and our guide will effortlessly whisk you past its most famous artifacts.

Sistine Chapel
Once you are inside, it is clear why the Sistine Chapel is one of the most celebrated works of art in Western civilization. Michelangelo painted over 600 figures in all, making the sheer magnitude of this endeavor mind-blowing. Since the Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, visitors are not permitted to speak inside. As your guide cannot explain the frescoes once inside -they will provide detailed information on this stunning site before entry.

St Peter’s Church
The last stop on this Combo tour is St. Peter’s Basilica. This massive church is the size of two American football fields and is filled with works created by some of history’s most celebrated artists. You will enter through a special door, skipping the lines to visit the most opulent church in the world. Once inside, you’ll admire masterpieces such as the Baldacchino, La Pietà, the statue of St. Peter and more. Even if you’re not familiar with art history, the interior of this church will make you stand in awe.
