EXPERIENCE

Gyumri is one of the most ancient and culturally rich cities in Armenia. Its history spans thousands of years, reflecting the influence of various civilizations and cultures. During this tour, you will take a sightseeing tour of the city, visit several famous attractions such as the museum of the artist Dzitokhtsyan, the Black Fortress, an architectural monument of the Russian-Turkish war of the mid-19th century. The object is included in the List of monuments of the national cultural heritage of Armenia, as it has not only historical significance, but also cultural value. Marmashen Church (X-XIII centuries) is an outstanding cultural and religious center of medieval Armenia. This is one of the most peculiar religious buildings on the territory of Armenia, as well as the oldest hairdressing salon that receives visitors to this day.

A museum where all objects are presented in a non-standard form “Tars u Shitak”
We will also visit the remarkable streets where most of the films of Armenian cinema were shot! The streets of Gyumri are steeped in history, humor and art. You will be amazed at how many things appeared in Gyumri in Armenia: the first pharmacies, hairdressers, baths, cinemas, a girls’ gymnasium, a puppet theater.

Gyumri is a godsend city for creative people!

For lunch, we suggest visiting the Cherkezi Dzor restaurant – a real gem of Gyumri and a godsend for all lovers of fish dishes. Initially, it was a fish farm, but over time, fish buyers inspired the owners to open a restaurant and cook the fish themselves so that it retains its unique fresh taste.
Several types of fish that are grown here, including trout, sterlet, sturgeon, are grilled, tinted or in the form of fish soup.
