After an approximately 5-hour drive from Las Vegas, arrive at the North Rim Lodge that offers stunning views from the tall viewing windows as well as large outdoor patios with chairs.

Explore the North Rim Visitor Center, gift shop, Deli in the Pines, and the Roughrider Saloon. There are restrooms and water stations to use too.

Choose to go on short hikes or walks directly from the lodge area. One option is the Bright Angel Point Trail, a scenic half-mile trail that starts just east of the lodge.

The North Rim is at a higher elevation, which means more trees and vegetation. The colors include more greens, along with the desert pinks, browns, purples, and other earthy colors.

The variety of vegetation, colors, and topography make the North Rim a true jewel of the Grand Canyon area.
