EXPERIENCE

Located in northwest Kyoto, Kinkaku-ji is not only a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site but also one of the most sought-after destinations for tourists visiting Kyoto and the Kansai region. This magnificent temple was originally built as a villa for the revered 14th Century shogun, Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. However, after his passing, the villa was transformed into a Zen Buddhist temple, providing a serene space for religious meditation known as zazen.

In addition to exploring Kinkaku-ji, this tour also includes a visit to Nijo Castle, another UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, known for its historical significance. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to discover the Rokkakudo Temple, a six-sided temple with a legendary story claiming that it played a pivotal role in the creation of the ancient Japanese capital.

Embark on this tour and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Kyoto, witnessing the splendor of Kinkaku-ji, the historical significance of Nijo Castle, and the mythical allure of Rokkakudo Temple.
