EXPERIENCE

Before you read: this tour is not available for cruise passengers. Check our “shore excursions” to find the options adapted to cruiseships times.

We pick up passengers from their accommodation in Puerto Madryn between 07:30/08 am, and we start our journey. We depart from our city via National Road N°3 heading south, traveling approximately 180 km until we reach Punta Tombo Reserve. We stop for a moment to pay the entrance fee to the area. Please note that only cash payment is accepted, as there is no internet signal in the area and therefore no electronic means of payment.

After enjoying the various exhibitions at the visitor center, which will tell us about the origin of the name “Tombo,” the life cycle of the penguins, and their marine habitat, among other things, the most exciting moment arrives: the trails and viewpoints! There, we immerse in the experience of interacting with these friendly and curious beings. Nests, caves, eggs, gazes, calls, fights, rests, movements… accompany all the sensations we will experience during the tour.

Once we have toured the reserve, we continue towards the town of Gaiman, the most important Welsh colony in Patagonia, which is still active. After a historical and architectural tour, you can enjoy the traditional Welsh tea with its delicious cakes and pastries, homemade bread and butter, sweets, and sandwiches (Optional, not included).

Then, we begin our return journey to the city of Puerto Madryn, arriving back around 6 pm. End of services.
