From Huaraz: Chavin de Huantar Monument – Querococha Lagoon – Ancash, Peru

EXPERIENCE

-We will start the excursion by picking up passengers from the hotel (near the main square in Huaraz) at 8:30 a.m.

-We will travel to the Monument, passing through the towns of Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac. We will cross the Cordillera Blanca and make a brief stop at the Querococha Lagoon.

-We will continue our journey through the Cahuish tunnel and the Callejón de Conchucos until we reach the city of Chavin, where we will explore the archaeological complex, including the circular plaza, the castle, the labyrinths and the famous sandpit, among others.

-We will visit the Chavin Museum to learn more about the development of Peru’s first high Andean culture.

-We will return to Huaraz, with an estimated arrival at 19:00 pm.
