From Florence: Private Full-Day Tour of Pisa and Lucca – Florence, Italy

EXPERIENCE:

Upon your arrival in Pisa, enjoy a guided walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli, which will allow you to see the exteriors of the celebrated Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Baptistery, as well as many other important, historic monuments. This is followed by a visit to Pisa’s Cathedral (exterior), an unrivaled masterpiece of Romanesque art constructed between the 11th and 12th centuries.

During the walking tour you will also have the chance to purchase an admission ticket (to be paid for on the day, directly to your guide) to see inside the Baptistery, which also allows you to have priority access inside the wonderful Cathedral.

After some free time to enjoy a delicious Italian lunch at your leisure, we will depart for the elegant and refined town of Lucca, where you will be given free time to discover this fascinating town as you walk along his famous sixteen century walls. As you enter the enchanting historical centre you can admire the amazing Piazza Anfiteatro, the Torre Giunigi, the Duomo di San Martino and a typical Tuscan “antique dealers’ street”.

During the tour, you will also have the possibility to take a “sweet stop” in a historic downtown Café, where you can enjoy a typical local pastry tasting, before returning to Florence.
