From Cusco: Humantay Lake in dome, 2 Days 1 Night – Cusco, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Day 1 – Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake

This experience begins with pick-up between 4:20 – 5:00 AM, to head northwest Cusco for a 2h30min journey to the town of Mollepata, where you’ll go through the control and have the breakfast. Then, you’ll continue for an additional 50 minutes to reach Soraypampa, where you’ll get ready for the 1h50min uphill hike.

Upon reaching the lake, you’ll have time to appreciate the scenery, the snow-capped mountains, Humantay Lake, and take photos. Afterwards, you’ll return to Soraypampa, where you’ll stay in the dome. The rest of the group will head back to Cusco. Once at the dome, you can leave your belongings, and lunch will be provided, followed by dinner in the evening.

Day 2 – Soraypampa – Cusco

On this day, breakfast is included, and you can explore the surroundings or walk along the Salkantay route. You also have the option for a horseback ride (not included). Later on (by 1:00 PM) you’ll be at the starting point of the first day to join the group of this day and all together return to Mollepata, where breakfast was served on the first day, for lunch. Finally, the journey back to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 PM.
