From Catania: Etna Morning Tour with Light Lunch – Catania, Italy

EXPERIENCE:

Come and join our Morning Tour, to discover the Wonders of Etna! With full support of our trained guide, you will be able to experience the adventure of visiting: the Silvestri craters, two of the five craters formed during the eruption of 1892. You will walk on the edge of the southern crater (you can also walk inside the crater), enjoying the great view on the Ionian coast and on the volcano itself; one lava flow cave, a real amazing channel (or tube) where in the lava flowed hot and fluid, one of the terrific means which the Volcano uses to let the lava flowing as far as possible. The size of the cave makes possible almost all the way to walk upright (with torches and helmets provided by us); lava flows from 1983 or 2002 eruptions (according to weather conditions), the most destructive of the last 50 years.Your guide will show you what kind of attempts were made in both cases to stop the lava. Light lunch with analcolic drinks are included. Pickup and drop off from your accommodation in Catania.
