From Bogota: Zipaquira Salt Cathedral – Bogota, Colombia

EXPERIENCE:

You will be met by your guide at your hotel and then head towards the countryside for a scenic trip to the largest salt cathedral on earth. You are able to make stops along the journey to the cathedral if you want to take photos or grab a snack. After approximately 1-hour you will arrive at Zipaquira Salt Cathedral. Once at Zipaquira Salt Cathedral you will be able to wander around and ask questions about the magical tunnels and vaults.  Discover the amazing artwork and fascinating lighting effects throughout the 590 foot (180m) deep tunnel system and cathedral. 

After approximately 1-hour exploring the salt cathedral, you will move on to the next location, a cozy Zipaquira colonial village just minutes away. Explore and understand how this magnificent village has been labeled as a cultural heritage location for Colombia. Feel free to walk around the cozy streets and also grab a souvenir to bring home to your loved ones. When you are ready to head back, your guide will escort you from the village back to your hotel or desired location in Bogota.
