Florence was the birthplace of Michelangelo, here he grew up, here he took his first creative steps. And despite the fact that a large amount of time Michelangelo spent in Rome, he always loved Florence, and it always attracted him, mentally and physically. Here he left behind a significant number of works that we will have the opportunity to enjoy.
During the tour, you will find out what was the youth of the Michelangelo and what he dreamed about, what doubts and anxieties tormented him throughout his life, what ideas he put into his works, what techniques he used, what kind of character he had, whom he loved and how he treated other people.
During this tour we will visit the following museums: the Accademia Museum, the Bargello Museum of Sculpture, the Medici Chapels and the Laurentian Library, the Buonarotti House Museum and the Church of Santa Croce, (Museum of the City Cathedral is a subject to availability). You will see almost all the works of Michelangelo in Florence with the exception of the painting “Tondo Doni” in the Uffizi and the statue of the Conqueror in Palazzo Vecchio.
