Florence: Full-Day Pisa and Tuscany Tour - Florence, Italy
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

After an early wake up and a short train ride from Florence, you will arrive in Pisa. Once there you can learn about the city from your tour leader, including the story of how it became famous. After a short tour, you will be set free to explore the renowned “Piazza dei Miracoli”, or field of miracles, at your own leisure. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, this piazza has much more to offer than just the leaning tower. You can strike your final poses with the tower before jumping back on the train to Florence where you will have free time to grab a quick bite. You will then meet your tour leader again for an exciting afternoon in Tuscany.

In the afternoon, you will discover olive groves and cypresses as you follow the winding roads that welcome you to the Chianti area. You can let your tour leader drive you into the heart of Tuscany, as they share stories and legends set in the nearby Medieval castles.

In 1 hour you will be living the Mediterranean dream: a glass of wine in your right hand, a bruschetta in your left hand and the breathtaking views of the rolling before you. The winemakers will guide you through their old cellars, while sharing all the secrets of the ancient art of wine making.

Your second stop will be a local family run farm, where you will find out that small wine producers can make amazing wine too. Whilst at this second winery, you can learn the process of picking, making and bottling these famous wines. During the day, you can taste up to 8 different types of wine, balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oils paired with snacks. At the conclusion of your day, you will return to Florence at approximately 6:30PM.
