El Manantial de Sisal – Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico

EXPERIENCE:

We start the tour when our guide arrives for you, at the lobby of your hotel, we go to the Yucatecan coast to visit one of the magical towns of the State. Our first stop will be at the Port of Sisal, it is located within the El Palmar State Reserve, it was one of the most important in colonial times for the commercialization of henequen and cotton fibers. We will begin by taking a tour of its streets, we will visit the Fort of Santiago built to protect the ancient inhabitants from pirate incursions. Later we will make the 2-hour tour inside the mangrove navigating in barges or kayaks until we reach the freshwater eye where we can enjoy its crystal clear waters. Finally, we will go to the beach to enjoy lunch (fish fillet to taste), and free time will be provided, and then return to Mérida.
