EXPERIENCE

Wat Ban Den, also known as Wat Bandensali Si Mueang Kaen, is a stunning Buddhist temple located in the Mae Taeng district of Chiang Mai, Thailand. It’s renowned for its vibrant colors, intricate Lanna architecture, and serene atmosphere.
Key Highlights:
* Twelve Zodiac Pagodas: The temple’s most striking feature is the cluster of 12 pagodas, each representing a sign of the Chinese zodiac. These pagodas are adorned with colorful mosaics and intricate carvings, making them a photographer’s paradise.
* Serene Lanna Architecture: The temple complex showcases traditional Lanna architecture, evident in its gracefully curved roofs, ornate gables, and intricate woodwork. The main hall, or Ubosot, houses sacred Buddha statues and murals depicting Buddhist teachings.
* Peaceful Atmosphere: Wat Ban Den exudes a tranquil ambiance, providing a welcome respite from the city’s hustle and bustle. Visitors can wander through the serene grounds, admire the intricate details of the structures, and find moments of peace and reflection.

There’s this really cool place in Chiang Mai called the Sticky Waterfall. You can climb the limestone rocks there, and it’s quite easy, not slippery. It’s like you have gecko hands and feet; you can just stick to the rocks and climb up.

At this waterfall area, if you are interested in visiting the Seven-Colored Fountain or the source of the water, there is a small hiking trail that winds through the trees. As you make your way to the Seven-Colored Fountain, which is now the source of the waterfall, you may be delighted by the melodious sounds of birds singing.

Please be aware that the fountain is sacred place. Ladies, please bring a cloth to cover your shoulders.
