See the only remaining mortuary temple on the Giza plateau. Eat lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids and Nile, then continue to Saqqara Step Pyramid, considered to be the earliest large-scale cut stone construction.
Marvel at this pyramid, which dates back to the reign of King Djoser who ruled Egypt during the 27th century B.C. Saqqara step pyramid consists of 6 steps built atop one another with a height of 62m. Next, visit Memphis City, the 1st capital of Egypt, founded by “King Menes.”
Learn how it occupied a strategic position between Upper and Lower Egypt. Memphis was believed to be under the protection of the god Ptah, the god of creation and artworks. Finally, drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
