Go on a 2-day desert safari from Cairo with a Bedouin guide. See the Al-Marsous mountains, visit the Bahariya Oasis, and spend the night in the Black Desert.
Get picked up from your hotel in Cairo in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to start your adventure. Take a 4-hours drive until you reach Bahariya Oasis, stopping mid-trip to rest and have some food. Upon your arrival, change to a 4×4 safari car.
Meet a local Bedouin guide, who you will take you through the desert. Admire the scenic desert landscape, with dunes as high as 50 meters.
Continue into the Black Desert and reach El Marsos Mountain. Gaze up at this imposing sandy mountain covered with black stones and minerals that look like iron and coal.
In the afternoon, head to El Haiz village to have some rest and stop for lunch. Have some time to explore the local market’s selection of Bedouin clothes, accessories, and handmade souvenirs. Next, head to Agabat, where you can see sculptures and limestone formations.
Reach the White Desert and admire the surreal landscape. Marvel at the white sand, which looks like the surface of the moon and spot the oddly-shaped stone formations created by harsh winds. Capture photos of your experience and watch the sunset.
After taking some pictures, drive back to the Black Desert, stopping at the Crystal Mountain on the way. Take in this desert spectable as the stones shine like pieces of glass and see if you can spot the tracks of desert wolves in the sand.
Back in the Black Desert, enjoy a traditional barbecue dinner prepared by the Bedouins. Join them in their circle, watching the beautiful scenery of the sky full of stars. Spend the night camping in a desert tent.
The next morning, witness the breathtaking sunrise before having your breakfast and leaving the camping area. Board a 4×4 Jeep and head to the highest mountain in the Black Desert, where you can take in panoramic views of the striking landscape.
After that, visit the warm springs in the Bahariya Oasis. Witness some spaces planted with palm trees and learn about the tree planting process from your guide.
Finally, move back to a modern, air-conditioned vehicle for your trip back to the city. Have a delicious lunch before transferring back to your hotel.
