EXPERIENCE

Meet and greet your guide at your hotel in Bangkok and travel together to the Duang Prateep Slum Foundation. Watch a 15-minute introduction movie explaining Prateep’s life work. Participate in one of the English classes, and interact and give something back to the children of this area. Take a walking tour through the slums and visit the handicraft shop where most items are handmade by the local people.

When you are done at the foundation, walk through the biggest fresh produce market in Bangkok, Klong Toey market. See a beautiful fruit and vegetable section and try exotic fruits like mangosteen and starfruit.

Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, typical of the area. Head to Lumpini Park to spot Water Monitor Lizards. Keep a close eye on the water all around the park and you’re sure to spot a few big lizards.
