EXPERIENCE

Day 1:Arrival- City tour
Hotel transfer. Lunch.Yerevan city tour including a trip to Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts – Matenadaran, which holds one of the world’s richest depositories of medieval manuscripts and books. A Visit to Cascade (the building that now houses the Cafesjian Center for the Arts). Next, the Opera House-the pride of the Armenian nation, the Opera theatre, is located in the heart of the capital city Yerevan. It is not simply a cultural structure, but an architectural masterpiece, the creator of which is world-renown Academician-Architect Alexander Tamanyan. Then visit The Genocide Memorial Complex, dedicated to the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who perished in the first genocide of the 20th century, at the hands of the Turkish government.

Day 2: Yerevan – Garni -Gegard-Vernisaje-Yerevan
Breakfast. On the way to Gegard, stop at “Charents Arch”, which offers stunning views of the Biblical Ararat valley. A trip to the rocky monastery Geghard (5-13 cc.) – Tomb of the princes Proshyan. The monastery consists of a large temple above ground and three churches, curved in solid rock. Lunch at Garni Toun restaurant. After lunch visit the pagan temple of Hellenistic Garni (77 AD), view of “The Tample of the Sun” and the ancient royal bath. This is the only Hellenic temple existing in the region. The temple is located on the edge of the picturesque canyon. Return to Yerevan.

Day 3: Airport transfer.
Brakfast at the hotel.
Free time. Transfer to airport.
