Embark on an unforgettable diving expedition to explore the historic C-56 Mine sweeper shipwreck in Puerto Morelos. Dive into the depths of marine wildlife and encounter the majestic eagle rays.
EXPERIENCE:
Discover the secrets of the deep as you embark on the Puerto Morelos Shipwreck Dives Experience. Located in the pristine Puerto Morelos reef area, just minutes between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, this adventure offers a unique opportunity to explore the sunken C-56 Mine sweeper shipwreck.
Sunk by the U.S. NAVY to create marine wildlife, the Juan Escutia shipwreck spans 150 feet and provides an ideal habitat for a diverse array of marine species. During the winter months, from November to March, the site becomes a spectacle of nature as eagle rays gracefully hover around the shipwreck, creating a mesmerizing sight to behold.
Your diving excursion begins with the first dive at the shipwreck, where you’ll descend into the depths to uncover its hidden wonders. The second dive takes you to the shallow waters of the Puerto Morelos National Marine Park, offering an opportunity to explore the vibrant reef ecosystem teeming with life.
Included in your experience are two exhilarating dives, complete with full scuba gear and fruit on board to keep you refreshed throughout your underwater journey. Round-trip transportation is provided from any hotel in Cancun or the Mayan Riviera, ensuring a convenient and hassle-free experience from start to finish.
Upon arriving at Puerto Morelos main pier, our experienced instructor will guide you to the dive boat, where you’ll embark on your underwater adventure. Dive in small groups per dive instructor, with personalized attention and guidance to enhance your diving experience.
