EXPERIENCE:

Enter the home of the beloved fire goddess Pele at Kilauea, the most active volcano on our planet. This adventure hike circumnavigates the calderas rim, starting at the cliff of Kaʻauea hiking down into the volcanoes floor of Halemaʻumaʻu with personalized options to visit Puʻupuaʻi fissure, Keanakakoʻi cliff above Halemaumauʻumaʻu’s lava lake and Nāhuku Lava tube before returning to Kaʻauea. Along our journey will be immersed in the unique culture of the Hawaiian islands through Hawaiian language, endemic plants, endemic animals, history, poetry and our 400,000 gods that are interwoven into the living lush rainforest and lava landscapes of Kīlauea. Throughout the hike we will be witness to the magic of Hawaiian ecosystems as buds of green sprout from the baron darkness of lava rock to becoming
towering rainforests mastering the art of catching water, sustaining the life of the island and the endemic birds who sing their songs.
