The Shelter Valley Concert Series May concert features a double-bill concert of Made In Canada Live & Local Magic. Series Host Randy Stewart opens for a set and then introduces us to local singer songwriter Adele Mary Carol.
Adele Mary Carol is a singer, song catcher and storyteller who began performing in her late fifties. Some would say a late bloomer and boomer – since she was born in 1963.
Adele’s songs are personal and inspired by her life and the lessons and blessings of her journey. Thoughtful, inspirational and at times humorous – they are a treat to receive. Adele performs mostly around Ontario and into Quebec. She has performed at the Peterborough Folk Festival 2023 and has appeared on Cogeco’s Making Music.

Randy Stewart is a Canadian singer/songwriter who has been performing professionally for more than 30 years. He has been seen on television, heard on radio and recorded by the CBC. His recordings can be found in the delete bins of some of the country’s finest record stores.
He has been crusading for years to purge love songs from his performances. His mantra – Sad Songs & Funny Songs ‘I DON’T PLAY LOVE SONGS’ – has become familiar to music fans throughout the region and lead him to seach for the unexpected songs found in the cannons of resistance and protest movements.
“There are a lot of performers out there singing about love and relationships – I’m just not one of ‘em”.

The Shelter Valley Concert Series is a monthly series of concerts by area performers presented on the fourth Wednesday of each month from March to November at the Vernonville Community Centre in the heart of Shelter Valley.
