The Russian Cultural Center of New York presents: Mit Yidish Ibern Lebn A Lifetime of Yiddish, an evening of song, poetry and dramatic readings in a retrospective of the life and career of Boris Sandler, award winning Yiddish author, former editor of the Yiddish Forward and editor of Yiddish Branzhe, celebrating his 75th birthday and 45 years of writing. This concert features performances by world renowned classical pianist Evgeny Kissin, famous American soprano Susanna Phillips and soprano Ekaterina Kapchits in the world premiere of the vocal cycle for children, “Shterndlekh mit Mandlen”; violin virtuoso Efim Zubritsky with the D. Zisl Slepovitch Klezmer Trio. Starring Yelena Shmulenson and Allen Lewis Rickman (A Serious Man) D. Zisl Slepovitch (piano, clarinet) and Dina Slepovitch.
