RUBEN MORENO – Dynamic musician of mixed Creole-Tejano lineages who rides atop the Zydeco scene in Houston TX and brings a magnetic youthful energy with a sizzlin-hot locked-down dance groove to everything he touches. Ruben delivers. Engages. Inspires. Intrigues. Captures. Thrills.

Ruben is an animated steward of the next generation of Zydeco musicians with his band, The Zydeco Re-Evolution, balancing fundamental respect for the traditional sounds and dance grooves, with a willingness to take Zydeco in fresh directions absorbing rhythmic and melodic edges from the cultures and generations he’s immersed in. At 35, Ruben is a veteran of the musical road, who began performing in clubs at age 13, and by 15 hit the road, never looking back, playing washboard professionally with his uncle Leroy Thomas as well as Grammy nominated Zydeco artist and crowned Prince of Zydeco, CJ Chenier.
